Imagi Meira on Wednesday demanded the chief minister, governor and BJP Manipur Pradesh president to properly retort to the memorandum submitted by the group within three days.
The group cautioned authorities that the people would inevitably erupt in anger if they continued to evade their questions and announce their stance against the 10 Kuki MLAs.
Speaking to the media in Imphal, convenor of the group Kh Sujata highlighted that the Imagi Meira had submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister, governor, chief minister, chief secretary, speaker of the Assembly and BJP Manipur Pradesh president demanding befitting action against the 10 Kuki MLAs.
“They must provide an answer by Saturday. The people will become more agitated if they continue with their silent tactics,” she said.
She expressed discontentment over the government’s inability to take action against the Kuki MLAs who are pushing for separation from Manipur.
They are involved in stoking the violence in Manipur, she added.
She stated that the people would surely erupt in anger if they continue to evade the pertinent questions and drag out the crisis any longer.
“The silence and inability of the state government to resolve the conflict has put the people in fray,” she said.
She also maintained that the people had put the authorities in power and they must answer to the people.
