Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), Manipur on Tuesday launched an audio-visual for creation of Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) card in local language at the Conference Hall, State Health Society, NHM, Directorate of Health Services, Manipur.
Speaking on the occasion, state directorate of health services Dr O Sanahanbi, as chief guest, informed that over eight lakh persons have benefited from ABHA card in the state and called on for raising awareness for enrolling in the said card, adding that the ABDM launched audio-visual for creation of the ABHA card in Manipuri language.
She said, each and every individual needs to enrol for an ABHA card in order to get its unique ABHA number so that they can put all the health records inside the card in digital form. The benefit of having the card is patients will not need to bring all the health records in physical form but through the card any health care unit can access all the health records after getting the consent of the respective individual through ABDM platform.
Sanahanbi said the card can be used at any healthcare unit of the country.
As for Manipur, any patient can get an OPD ticket at a hospital without waiting in a long queue with the help of the card, she added.
During the launching programme, a 1.38 minute-long video for creation of ABHA cards in Manipuri language was played.
State mission director, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, Manipur, Dr Somorjit Ningombam and deputy director (MC), directorate of health services, government of Manipur, Ningombam Homendro attended as president and guest of honour respectively.
