Ching Tam Women Development Association Manipur president N Kunjeshori appealed to every Meiteis in the outer parliamentary constituencies to extend their support to candidate Alyson Abonmei, who has been supporting the issue of including the Meiteis in the Scheduled Tribe (ST) list.
Speaking at an election meeting of Abonmei held at Wangbal Mayai Leikai, Thoubal district on Tuesday, Kunjeshori said that the upcoming Lok sabha election is a highly crucial election for the Meitei community.
“The fate of our community and the state will be unpredictable if we fail to choose the right candidate,” she added.
Election Coordinator Birla Angomcha, Election Observer Sana Kshetriya and people of the area attended the meeting and took the decision to support the candidate.
