The Arambai Tenggol on Friday announced that the organisation is dissolved for sometime, citing certain unwanted developments which have taken place during the last few days in the state.
The circulation of a rumour that the women wing of Arambai Tenggol organised the mobs that stormed the residences of the politicians was extremely unfortunate, the Arambai Tenggol stated in a release. Arambai Tenggol was never involved in such activities and the organisation does not have a women wing, it clarified.
Arambai Tenggol appeals to all not to use the name of the organisation while holding protests to raise public grievances against the State and Central government, it stated.
“In such a critical juncture when taking a united stand is of utmost importance, certain individuals with vested interest are attempting to drive a wedge among us,” it mentioned. It is clear that attempts are made to permanently eradicate the organisation from Manipur, it stated.
While the organisation remains dissolved, its members as well non-members are prohibited from using the name of the organisation or taking its identity, it stated. However, the organisation will not hesitate to make a return in order to protect Manipur when the situation demands, it added.
