AR organises ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in Kangpokpi

As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to observe India’s 75th Independence Day, the 22 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 22 Sector Assam Rifles/HQ IGAR(E) conducted 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign on Thursday at Kangpokpi District Headquarters.

The event at Brig M Thomas Ground Kangpokpi town was graced by Brig PS Arora, Cdr. HQ. 22 Sector Assam Rifles, Col Puneet Atwal, SM, Commandant 22 Assam Rifles, and other Assam Rifles officials apart from Saikul AC MLA Kimneo Haokip Hangshing, ex-ADC Sadar Hills Chairman, Haokholal Hangshing, various civil society organisations of Kangpokpi, village chiefs, Kangpokpi Town Committee members, Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organizations and Kangpokpi Youth Union leaders, etc.

The display of the military pipe band and jazz band of the 22 Assam Rifles was followed by cultural performances including Kuki cultural dance, Nepali cultural dance, and an enthralling hymnal from TBA Keithelmanbi Choir.

The cultural event was a befitting testimony to the spirit of the nation and to celebrate India's 75th year of Independence.
