The Assam Rifles personnel distributed mattresses, groceries and essential toiletries offering much-needed material and moral support to the vulnerable people most affected in the recent ethnic clashes that precipitated large scale displacement and distress to thousands of innocents, the IGAR(S) stated in a release.

This outreach aimed at ensuring that the basic needs of the affected population were met. The Assam Rifles relief team worked diligently to ensure a seamless and equitable distribution process, it stated.

The distribution of relief materials is a part of the Assam Rifles’ ongoing efforts to provide humanitarian assistance and foster a sense of security and belonging amongst the affected population. AR remains dedicated to supporting the local administration in restoring peace and normalcy to the region, the IGAR(S) stated.
