AR clarifies on bridge construction

Two media personnel who came to cover the incident at Molnom were asked to prove their identity, and after verification of their identity were permitted to move ahead, the PRO, IGAR (South) stated.

The Public Relation Officer, HQ IGAR (South) on Sunday issued a clarification in a connection with the news article published on a local daily about the construction of a bridge over Manipur river near K Molnom village in Chandel district, stating that the matter is purely a 'law and order’ issue which falls under the ambit of civil administration.

A rebuttal signed by lieutenant colonel staff officer (public relations and media) clarified that on Saturday, two media personnel who came to cover the incident at Molnom were asked to prove their identity, and after verification of their identity were permitted to move ahead.
