Directorate of Art and Culture, government of Manipur on Saturday invited all interested and eligible individuals to avail assistance under the ‘Chief Minister gi Artistes singgi Tengbang (CMAT)’ in various categories for the year 2022-2023.
A notice issued by director of Art and Culture L Kishworjit Singh invited applications for various schemes under the CMAT for the year 2022-2023. The schemes included, scheme for artistes’ pension (category A for state and national awardees) (category B for non-awardees); scheme for assistance for participation in international and national festivals; scheme for assistance to the cultural group for training with new production (category A for 25 years above group) (category B for above three years to 25 years group); support for purchase of instruments/equipment; and scheme for award to distinguish artistes.

It informed the interested individuals to download the prescribed application form from the website and duly fill the application along with the necessary documents and which is to be submitted to the office of the Directorate of Art and Culture, government of Manipur at Palace Compound, Imphal East by August 20.
One person can apply for only one scheme at a time, and applications received after the due date will not be entertained, it stated.
“In view of the rising number of COVID-19 cases, applications will be accepted through Drop Box on the 2nd floor of the directorate office and a register will be available on which the applicants may enter the date and serial number of their application form submission,” it added.
