The All Manipur Newspaper and Electronic Media Employees Association (AMNEMEA) on Sunday elected its office bearers for term Council 3 2024-2027.
The newly elected 11 council members were handed over their responsibilities by former Council 2 president Khunjamayum Amuchou during the 95th Second Sunday meeting held at AMNEMEA office, Hatta Hafiz on Echel Express’ 3rd Floor, stated a release.
The council selects office bearers triennially and the latest was elected as the former two terms, i.e., Council 1 (2018-21) and Council 2 (2021-24) expired, it stated. Haobijam Romio alias Ibomcha was elected as the new president of term Council 3, it mentioned.
Speaking on the sidelines, H Romio asserted that the AMNEMEA has extended necessary assistance to altogether 51 members till date, it said. He assured that the 3 Councils will take initiatives to boost the funds to provide aid to those in need, it added.
