The Anal Lenruwl Tangpi (ALT) GHQ, Chandel district on Saturday condemned the authority for neglecting the unavailability of specialist (ortho) in the district hospital of Chandel, and requested specialist (ortho) Dr M Nando Singh to be instated.
In a release by ALT GHQ, Chandel stated that the citizens from the district are facing difficulties in affording the expenses of going to another district hospital for medical attention owing to the unavailability of specialists in the Chandel district hospital.
“After a brief inquiry on the unfortunate event we came to know that specialist (ortho) Dr M Nando Singh who was previously posted in Churachandpur district hospital, was transferred to Chandel district hospital on 7th January 2022, in an order issued by the deputy secretary of Health and FW, Government of Manipur, but the concerned doctor still hasn’t obliged with the order”, it added.
The release requested the authorities concerned to expedite the process of instating Dr M Nando Singh at the earliest so as to avoid the unnecessary financial expenses by the citizens of Chandel district.
