All Jiribam Road Transport Driver’s Union (AJRTDU) has alleged one Sapam Jadumani for publicly defaming the drivers' fraternity and cautioned that the union will boycott him unless he issues a public apology.
In a press meet held at the conference hall of the Jiri News Network (JNN) in Jiribam, AJRTDU secretary L Maniton Singh condemned Jadumani for allegedly spreading hateful comments for the drivers' fraternity, particularly the driver of the unfortunate and tragic accident of the school bus at Noney district on December 21.
He demanded Jadumani to apologise publicly and warned that the union will boycott him if he fails to comply.
Drivers are always conscious of the responsibility they carry with them, especially for the lives of the passenger and although the accident at Noney district on December 21 is tragic, it would be false to blame the driver for the accident, he added.
The press meet was attended by AJRTDU joint secretary K Anil Singh, finance secretary S Romen Singh and publicity secretary N Arun Singh.
