The All India Student’s Federation Manipur State Council (AIFF-MSC) held its annual general body meeting at its headquarters' hall in Imphal on Sunday, during which new state office bearers were selected.
The AIFF-MSC unanimously elected K Chittaranjan as the new president, while L Avinash was chosen as the vice president, W Wanglen as Secretary, Leishemba Ningomba as joint secretary and Leo Meitei was selected as treasurer, stated a release.
Attendees at the meeting took various resolutions to end the ongoing conflict and restore peace and normalcy in the state and to place their demands on the state government, it stated. It also expressed discontentment over the partiality in relation to mobile internet services in the state, adding that students from deprived families who are unable to afford ways to access the internet are facing various inconveniences. It further appealed to lift the ban on mobile internet for all.
Ex-AIFF MSC president Sh Sharat and state president M Somorjit were also among those present at the meet, it added.
