ABVP team calls on Manipur governor

Informing Governor Anusuiya Uikey about their visits to the relief camps, the ABVP team expressed their concern on the prevailing situation and expressed their hope for speedy restoration of peace and harmony.

A team of North East SEIL Tour (ABVP), led by state president professor Premlata Meisnam along with representatives from different states called on Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan on Friday and shared their experiences about Manipur and their efforts for bringing peace in the state.

The team while sharing their experiences on Manipur expressed their happiness to see the natural beauty, culture and traditions of the state. Informing the Governor about their visits to the relief camps, they expressed their concern on the prevailing situation and expressed their hope for speedy restoration of peace and harmony.

While asking the student leaders about their aspirations, the Governor said, students should contribute to the nation building process to make India a strong and a developed nation.

She said, students’ organisations have been a platform for the students to build their career in many aspects of life. Education in colleges or universities is not only meant for a degree but also for developing personality and confidence to excel things which will come up in the future.

Sharing her experiences while in college as a student leader and in the political spectrum, Governor said, all should accept failure as it is the thing which all should learn from it. She asked them to follow the footsteps of our departed great leaders to contribute to the nation.
