ABVP distributes sports items, study materials to displaced children in relief camps

Sports items and study materials were distributed to over 110 students staying in relief camps

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Manipur (ABVP), Manipur, Students for Seva (SFS) Jeevanam (Give to Life), Disaster Relief (Saving Lives), Samvedan (Shiksharth Vidyarthi, Sevarth Vidyarthi) distributed games and sports items and study materials in relief camps.

ABVP, in a release on Monday, said that their karyakartas distributed study material such as pen, pencil, exercise-book, scale, sharpener, etc. Games and sport items such as football, chess, ludo and carrom to the relief camps opened at the New Gold Club, Taretkhul Parking Relief Camp, Universal Friendship Organisation (UFO), Uyumpok Relief Camp and Bal Vidya Mandir School Palace compound.

It added that the items were provided to over 110 students of class 1 to 12 and students expressed their thoughts and fearness about the prevailing violence in Manipur.

ABVP state organisation secretary Bhagawat Rajawat, ABVP Imphal Vibhag organization secretary Akshay Rajukar, Savishkar in-charge coordinator Tonsana Thokchom, chairperson Diki Doma Maibam, Bal Vidya Mandir School Management, principal Ph. Netrajit Sharma, Bal Vidya Mandir School, Seetharam Ghat, organization secretary Vidya Bharati Manipur and some Karyakartas were present in the distribution ceremony.

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Manipur (ABVP), Manipur, Students for Seva (SFS) is a pan India Student-run movement initiated in 2013 to motivate, engage and bring students across the country on one platform to be able to serve the nation through various activities, to instil in them the feeling of ‘Seva Parmo Dharma’. With this feeling, we aim to reach the unreached, it said.
