92 people attend training on integrated farming system in Imphal East

FOCS held a four-day training programme on “Integrated farming system” to help boost the state's economy.

A four-day training programme on “Integrated farming system”, organised by the Federation of Civil Society Organisations (FOCS), Manipur, concluded on Tuesday.

FOCS organised the training programme in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Imphal East from 28 to 31 January.

The programme was organised as a part of the various developmental programmes taken up by FOCS to improve the economic status of the state.

Subject experts and scientists educated the trainees on different topics during the training programme. Managing director of Pureiromba Farm Pvt. Ltd. Angom Punil Kumar taught mushroom cultivation; Nandini Chongtham, SMS (Agronomy) KVK, Imphal East, taught vermicomposting and organic manure and Dr. M.A Salam, SMA (Fisheries) KVK, Imphal East, taught scientific fish farming in Manipur.

Altogether, 92 trainees from Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Chandel, Bishnupur, Tengnoupal and Cachar (Assam) districts participated in the training programme. Participation certificates were also given to the trainees.
