The vice president of the Zomi Reunification Organisation (ZRO) Kennet Muan unfurled the Zomi national flag in the presence of Zomi council chairman and others frontal organisations under Zomi.
While the ZRO president did not attend the celebration, the vice president of the organisation read out a statement issued by the former.

“It is my solemn conviction that God is leading us this far to celebrate the 74th Zomi Nam Ni, 2022. On this auspicious occasion, I extend my warmest Zomi Nam Ni greetings to all the Zomi worldwide and acknowledge the prayers, support and co-operations of the people in our march towards fulfilling our collective dreams. I also salute our national martyrs who made supreme sacrifices for our better tomorrow as we celebrate the 74th Zomi Nam Ni.

"I also urge every Zomi to fight against the evil ploy of those who are working against the Zomi unity, vision and national policy established by our founding fathers many years back. The ZRO/ZRA has been consistently striving to achieve the established Zomi policy without flickering an inch in our struggle”, said the ZRO president’s statement.

“The Elections form the bedrock of democracy in the world, and India adopted universal adult suffrage whereby each adult has the right to vote. As the people of Manipur prepares to choose their elected leaders, we urge each and every Zomi of the State to exercise their franchise with the utmost care, and not to choose a leader(s) who will work or is working against the interests of the Zomi. May I also take this opportunity to thank the Government of Manipur, under the leadership of Mr. Biren Singh, Hon’ble Chief Minister of the State for declaring the Zomi Nam Ni as one of the State’s ‘Restricted Holiday”, it said.
