69th National Conference of ABVP held in New Delhi

A total of over 10,000 delegates coming from all over the country attended the conference, the ABVP said in a press conference.

The 75 years of ABVP Amrit Mahotsav, 69th National Conference of the world’s largest student organisation, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad was held from 7th to 10th December, 2023 at Indraprastha Nagar, Burari, New Delhi.

A total of over 10,000 delegates coming from all over the country attended the conference, the ABVP said in a press conference.

Representatives from Bangladesh, Nepal and other countries also participated in the conference. Moreover, 85 delegates from different districts of Manipur also attended the national conference at Delhi, the ABVP said.

The inauguration programme was graced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

This year, the Professor Yeshwantrao Kelkar Youth Award was awarded to Sharad Vivek Sagar, Social Entrepreneur and founder, Dexterity Global from Bihar, Sushri Lahri Bai, Padiya Millets Queen/Bajra Queen from Madhya Pradesh, and Vaibhav Bhandari, founder Swavalamban Foundation from Rajasthan.

Rajat Sharma, chairman and Editor-in-Chief, India TV also attended the award ceremony as the chief guest.

In a speech Mukunda CR, Sah Sarkaryavah RSS said, “In an unbalanced multipolar world, each nation possesses unique attributes to showcase its power. It is crucial for Bharat to develop its unique attributes. Recent Bharatiya initiatives in Green Energy, Digital penetration and Decarbonization are establishing a unique position for Bharat. In a dynamic global landscape, Bharat takes the lead in four crucial transitions: Digital, Supply Chain, Green Energy and Demographic.”

The ABVP stated that six resolutions were passed with thorough readings, suggestions and discussions which were Importance of Quality Education and a Vibrant Campus; Global Welfare Oriented Bharatiya Diplomacy; Youth must Adopt A Healthy Lifestyle; Importance Of Conscientious Development and Environmental Balance; Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam: A Historic Step and The Symbol of Bharatiya Oneness And Pride - Shri Ram Mandir.

The National Office bearers for the year 2023-24 were announced wherin Dr. Rajsharan Shahi and Yagywalkya Shukla were again re-elected as National President & National General Secretary Respectively. The organisation’s National Executive Council (NEC) Member for the year 2023-24 was also announced, comprising 3 from Manipur State viz.  Urmika Maibam, Akshay Rajurkar and Mathieu Kun Kamei. Further RK Rabichandra Singh was announced as Central Working Committee (CWC) Member and Thiyam David Singh as NEC special Invitee.

As a part of the conference, Sobhayatra (Cultural Rally) was held in a grand manner on the streets of Delhi by raising slogans. 75 years of  ABVP journeys, Exhibition displayed photographs & illustrations of various activities done in the past year and photo details of freedom fighters, historic achievements of ABVP were also displayed.
