In continuation of the efforts of Moreh Battalion in the fight against COVID-19 along the Indo-Myanmar border, the Battalion organised free medical camp at Muslim Nagar Moreh. A total of 193 patients were examined by a team of doctors from Moreh Bn Unit Hospital, Gynaecologist from RIMS Imphal and trained Para-medical staff for various ailments. Free medicines were also provided to all during the camp.
The aim of the camp was to provide free medical treatment and consultation to the villagers of Moreh town and nearby villages where medical facilities are not available due to remoteness of the location. Apart from providing medical assistance and medicines, information on hygiene, sanitation and awareness on Covid-19 pandemic, lifestyle diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, ladies health etc was given to the villagers by the Chief Medical Officer Moreh Bn and the visiting doctor Gynaecologist from RIMS Imphal
The medical camp included lectures and demonstrations on measures to ward off Covid 19 pandemic any likelihood of seasonal diseases due to mosquitoes in the monsoon season.
