Manipur Shiv Sena president M Tombi on Thursday suggested the 40 MLAs to send their unanimous resolution to protect the territorial integrity and boundary of Manipur to the Centre by Friday noon.

Tombi in a voice note issued to the media stated that the 40 MLAs can take a unanimous decision for the protection of Manipur at the CM secretariat office at any time without having to wait for any state assembly session.

The Parliament monsoon session commenced from July 20 and will be continuing till August 11, he said.

The state Shiv Sena party welcomed the statement of Union Home Minister Amit Shah for rejecting the proposal for the funeral of Kuki bodies at a historical place of Manipur, he said.

Tombi said the Myanmarese nationals who are not allowed to stay in Myanmar or Bangladesh cannot stay in Manipur; the Central government should take appropriate action against those infiltrators. For the identification of those infiltrators or illegal immigrants, the NRC should be implemented in Manipur immediately, he said.

He further said the Central government should abrogate SoO with militants who are coming from Myanmar and the pending border fencing work of around 389 km should be completed at the earliest in order to stop illegal immigrants from entering Manipur (India).

To restore intimacy among the various communities who are residing in hills and the valley, the MLRL Act, 1960 should be implemented, he said.

As the Act gets implemented, intimacy among the communities could be increased by allowing all the communities to settle anywhere and any place of Manipur irrespective of hills and plain, Tombi added.

The state president said the Armed Forces Special Power Act, 1957 should be withdrawn completely from Manipur to maintain peace.
