“The government has issued a notifification to initiate classes for students from class 9 to 12 but this move will cause immense inconvenience to the students of the 28 schools which are unable to reopen as such we met the governor to update her on this matter,” he said.

He also urged teachers to dispense their service at relief camps to help students and extend aid in maintaining their academic careers.

Numerous students have been left distraught by the crisis and are on the brink of losing their whole academic progress as it is vital to extend service to save future generations, he added.

He stated that it should be the utmost priority of all teachers in Manipur to help students in need and nurture them properly so that they make something of themselves in the future.

“Instead of letting them harbor hate, let them absorb the vast expanse of knowledge which they are yet to learn and so the role of a teacher is crucial at this juncture,” he said.
