A team of doctors from the Urology Department, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal has successfully removed a kidney tumour weighing 2.1 kg from a 73-year-old lady on Monday.

The patient is stable and currently under observation in the ICU of RIMS Hospital, Imphal.

The team consisted of Dr Kh Somarendra, Dr Kh Amitkumar and all trainees of MCh along with the Anaesthesiology team led by the head of the Anaesthesiology department, RIMS professor RK Gojendra.
