The 1st Manipur Red Youth Festival 2023 jointly organised by Manipur State AIDS Control Society, NSS Units of MB College and RRC MB College kicked off at Maharaja Bodhchandra College, Imphal on Friday.
The two-day festival was inaugurated by Deputy Director, IEC & Mainstreaming, Manipur State AIDS Control Society Beema Haodijam in presence of principal of Maharaja Bodhchandra College professor RK Hemanta Singh, stated a release.
A school level quiz competition was held on the first day of the festival, it said. Students of TG Higher Secondary School namely Linthoingambi Soram and Lamnganbi Konsam clinched the first prize in the completion, while Chanyaphi Kaping and Lanya Gachui of Alice Christian Higher Secondary School, Ukhrul bagged second prize, RK Martina and Naorem Priyalakshmi Chanu of Keishamthong High School secured the third and Konjengbam Prity Chanu and Shalu Kolom of JNV Bishnupur came, it said.
The winners were feted with cash prizes and certificates on the occasion, it added. It further said that the state winner TG Higher Secondary School will represent Manipur in the upcoming North East Regional Quiz Competition.
Wide range of events, including college level drama and reel making competitions will be held on the second day of the fest, the release said.
