1st anniversary of Imphal Peace Museum observed

Ambassador of Japan to India, Satoshi Suzuki; president Sasakawa Peace Foundation Tokyo, Shuichi Ohna and chairman Nippon Foundation Tokyo, Hobei Sasakawa took part at the programme through video conferencing.

The first anniversary of Imphal Peace Museum was organised by the 2nd World War Imphal Campaign Foundation and Manipur Tourism Forum (MTF).on Monday at Maibam Lokpa Ching, Nambol.

Ambassador of Japan to India, Satoshi Suzuki; president Sasakawa Peace Foundation Tokyo, Shuichi Ohna and chairman Nippon Foundation Tokyo, Hobei Sasakawa took part at the programme through video conferencing.

Addressing the function, Satoshi Suzuki said the museum will educate the youths about the past and modern history. In the future, it will take a major role for the youths who want to learn about the past events which are connected to Japan, he said.

Commissioner of state tourism department, Devesh Deval launched the official website of Imphal Peace Museum and commemorated a souvenir as a part of the programme.

Founder president, MTF, Thangjam Dhabali was also felicitated for achieving 'The order of Rising Sun, Golden and Silver Rays ' for the 2020 award.

As a part of the 1st anniversary celebration Laihui, Imphal (Imphal base music group), Heabaru Town of Okinawa and Taketomi Island Japan jointly demonstrated an international concert for peace through video conferencing.
