It stated that in an effort to bring back normalcy in the district, it has been reaching out to CSOs constantly and closely working with the state authority to ensure uninterrupted supply of basic needs to the public.

The release stated that the district administration also extended assistance to relief camps run by philanthropic organisations.

“Close security coordination has been maintained among all forces present in the district, and routine flag marches have been taken out by the security forces,” the administration said.

On Friday, the Churachandpur District Administration said it received about 250 people from relief camps in Imphal and facilitated the free passage of about 30 individuals who were sheltered at different locations in the district. The curfew was relaxed for five hours from 6 am to 11 am on Friday. Nute Bazar and Zenhang Bazar were opened for the first time after the unrest.

The District Administration also appealed to all concerned to maintain peace and refrain from spreading misinformation that may cause a breach of peace. It also urged all to desist from acts and activities that can cause disturbances. Facts can be ascertained with the district administration at any time, the release stated.
