A total of 10 Manipur police personnel have been selected for the ‘Police Medal for Meritorious Service’ and ‘Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation’ awards on the ensuing Independence Day 2023, the Manipur Police Department announced on Monday.

A release issued by Inspector General of Police (Adm) for Director General of Police, K Jayanta Singh, stated that Superintendent of Police, Pravin Dadaso Ingawale will be accorded the ‘Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence' award.

Havaldar of 2nd IRB Havaldar Sapam Yaimathoi Singh; havaldar 7th Battalion MR, Kongbrailatpam Debadatta Sharma; havildar 1st MR, L Shanta Singh; subedar MPTC, Yumlembam Sunanta Singh; inspector CID (SB), Khaute Thangzalal Vaiphei; AC 1st IRB, Sheimang Khongsai; jemadar 6th IRB, Fayazur Rahaman; jemadar 1st IRB Sanasam Tejen Singh and jemadar 1st IRB Shijagurumayum Budhachandra Sharma will be awarded with the Police Medal for Meritorious Service, it stated.
