Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Kenneth J Cooper to speak on inclusivity of newsrooms

The virtual discussion on "Race & Media: How Inclusive Are Our Newsrooms?" will be held on October 28 from 5pm-6-15pm.

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Kenneth J Cooper will be speaking virtually on inclusivity of newsrooms on Thursday, October 28 from 5pm-6-15pm. Cooper will be featured by the US Consulate General in Chennai in coordination with US Embassy New Delhi, US Consulate General in Mumbai, and US Consulate General in Kolkata in the virtual discussion on the topic "Race & Media: How Inclusive Are Our Newsrooms?".

Dhanya Rajendran, Editor-in-Chief of the digital portal The News Minute will moderate the virtual discussion. Prominent scholar and social commentator Chandra Bhan Prasad  and award-winning author and journalist Yashica Dutt will also take part in the discussion.

"#SaveTheDate for a conversation with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Kenneth J Cooper and @dhanyarajendran as they sit down with the audience to discuss diversity in newsrooms," the US Consulate Chennai tweeted while sharing a link to watch the programme and an image with details of the virtual discussion. 

Kenneth J Cooper is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and a senior news editor at WGBH, a public radio station in Boston. Cooper shared a Pulitzer Prize for his reporting series on “The Race Factor,” which examined institutional racism in Boston.
