A Health Talks programme as a part of Urban Health Training Centre was organised by the Community Medicine department of RIMS at Guigailong of Thangmeiband in Imphal West on Saturday.
A release stated that the Health Talks was organised under the supervision of HOD of Community Medicine department and dean of academics RIMS Brogen Singh Akoijam, and led by health educator Meghachandra Meitei.
It stated that during the programme, PGTs Dr Luckystar and Dr Th Reena guided the interns and spoke on the topics of the health talk including neonatal jaundice, breast feeding, adolescent health, substance abuse, and waste disposal etc.
As part of the health talk lab tech Y Gambhirsana Singh conducted urine protein and sugar tests as well as blood tests, it stated. The programme concluded with free health check up and free medicine distribution, it added.
