India's daily COVID-19 caseload inches up

As many as 1,569 more people were tested positive for COVID-19 across India, according to the latest updates.

India has been witnessing a rise in daily COVID-19 positive cases for the past few days with 1,569 more people testing positive in a span of 24 hours as per the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday.

According to the ministry, the 1569 new positive cases pushed the total confirmed caseload to 4,47,07,525, while the death toll stood at 5,30,841, with no new deaths.

The total number of recoveries reached 4,41,65,703, as 888 more people reported recovered from the disease across the counry.

Most of the states reported increasing number of daily Covid-19 positives. However, Manipur continued to report zero covid-19 positive cases, with its confirmed caseload and death toll unmoved at 1,39,924 and 2149 respectively.  

Meanwhile, 92,11,61,295 total tests have been conducted across the country, while 2,20,65,65,361 total vaccine doses have been administered nationwide. A total of 1,20,958 samples were tested on March 27.
