India reports 126 new COVID-19 positive cases, one more death

India on Thursday reported 126 new COVID-19 positive cases, 113 recoveries, and one more death, taking the nationwide active caseload to 1,835, official sources said on Thursday.

According to the the latest updated data issued by the Union Health Ministry, India's total confirmed caseload of COVID-19 mounted to 4,46,84,502, while the death toll reached 5,30,757.

While the rate of active cases stood at 0.01 per cent, the recovery rate recorded was at 98.81 per cent, and the total recoveries reached 4,41,51,910, as per the latest update.

The daily positivity rate recorded was 0.11 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate stood at 0.09 per cent.

Meanwhile, 91,75,10,608 total tests for COVID-19 have been conducted countrywide, and 220.63 crore total vaccine doses (95.19 crore second dose and 22.85 crore precaution dose) have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.

A total of 7,850 more doses were administered in a span of 24 hours on Wednesday-Thursday.
