Alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) never did justice to the people of Manipur, AICC Northeast in-charge Bhakta Charan Das apprised the public to vote wisely as election is the only time to take a stand for a progressive society.

Das was delivering the gathering during a political rally conducted in favour of Sagolband INC candidate Moirangthem Momo at Sagolband Sayang Pukhri Mapal, Imphal West on Thursday.

Lashing out at the BJP for not fulfilling any of its pledges announced prior to the Manipur 2019 election, he said, “The BJP-led government is an irresponsible government which completely deteriorated the state in five years”.

Unlike the BJP, which considered itself superior to the culture and tradition of Manipur, the Congress is the party which truly respects the Manipur culture and the party works as per the wish of the indigenous groups, Das contended.

As most of the public are fed-up of the five years “dictatorship government” in Manipur, people will witness a whole new Congress government in the coming years, he said, assuring that the Congress party will bring immense development in the state as per the public wish.

With support from the Congress, Momo will be able to serve the public better than any of the candidates of Sagolband, he said, appealing to the people to vote for Momo for a new progressive Sagolband AC.
