23 polling teams set for Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts

Polling officials and security personnel detailed for duty in 23 polling stations located at far off places of the districts are scheduled to be dispersed from Peace Ground, Churachandpur on Friday.

All arrangements have been put in place for dispersal of polling parties for the ensuing State Assembly election, 2022 in respect of Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts. Polling officials and security personnel detailed for duty in 23 polling stations located at far off places of the districts are scheduled to be dispersed from Peace Ground, Churachandpur on Friday.

These 23 polling stations included 17 in 55-Tipaimukh (ST) AC and 6 polling stations in 57-Henglep (ST) AC.  Transit point for the polling stations of Tipaimukh AC is Bidyanagar Sports Complex, Jiribam while the transit point for PSs of Henglep AC is SDO Office complex, Henglep.

All the six ACs of the two districts are among the ACs which are slated for the first phase polling on February 28. 

In order to ensure that nothing is left to chances, the District Nodal officer (Training Management) gave special training to officials detailed for dispersal and receiving of polling teams/personnel today.

Meanwhile, Shivanand Surve, SP, Churachandpur today briefed Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) officers and Ad-hoc commanders detailed for poll duty at SP’s Conference Hall, Churachandpur today. Shri Pravin Ingawale, SP, Pherzawl also joined the briefing session.

At the same time, the 3rd randomization of Polling Personnel for 55-Tipaimukh & 57-Henglep (ST) ACs was held at the NIC’s Video Conference Room, Mini-Secretariat today in the presence of General Observer, All ROs and AROs. Randomization of police personnel for duty was also held in the evening.

Earlier in the day, the winners of Online Poster Making Competition with the theme ‘Making Election Inclusive, Accessible & Participative’ were felicitated by District Election Officer/DC Shri Pawan Yadav today at DC’s Conference Hall, Mini-Secretariat in the presence of Shri Siladitya Basuray, General Observer and officials from election department.

Lamnunmoi, Niangnunnuam and Thepfuneizo Seiye were adjudged as the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners out of 22 participants in the competition. Certificate of appreciation and T-Shirt were presented to the winners and participants.
