With the aim to provide free education to the students belonging to under privilege sections, the All Manipur Dalit Development Association on Thursday had identified and inspected a location in Lamphelpat, Imphal West for the establishment of Manipur Dalit School.
Speaking to the media, association president TM Rajen Ayangba said the Manipur Dalit School will provide the same facilities as Navodiya Vidyala by giving free education from Class VI to XII.
Informing that the association will start the construction of the school before March 2023, he said all the necessary documentation process will be taken up soon.
The project is taken up under the central government’s slogan to uplift the weaker sections, he said while extending gratitude to Mankanta, who have donated the land measuring 15 pari (local unit) for the construction of the school.
