Manipur University vice chancellor N Lokendra on Monday asserted that higher educational institutes play a pivotal role in breaking down the structure of various social incidents and mapping out strategies to resolve them.
He was speaking at the concluding function of the Manipur University Festival of Books, 2023 which kicked off from December 5 inside the university campus. The five-day festival was held under the theme of ‘Peaceful Co-existence’.

Students are also key actors in ushering peace and development, he added.
He expressed gratitude to the organisers for successfully putting together the book festival inside the campus and stated that such festivals were even more crucial during these trying times.
