In a celebration of academic excellence and dedication, UNACCO School on Thursday honoured four outstanding students from different schools with laptops for their exceptional performance in the 10th and 12th board examinations.
The event, held at the UNACCO School premises in Khongman on Thursday, highlighted the institution’s commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering academic growth.
The felicitated students include Ayush Mishra, a Class XII (Science) student from UNACCO School, who achieved an impressive 96.8 per cent; Malemnganbi Laishram, the Class XII (Science) topper from COMET School; Garish Laishram, a Class X student from Ramkrishna Mission School, who secured an outstanding 98.6 per cent; and Leishembi Thingujam, a Class X student from UNACCO School Meitram, who secured 98.4 per cent, making her the second state topper of the CBSE exams.
All four students have now enrolled at UNACCO School and College to continue their academic pursuits.
The laptops, awarded as a token of recognition, are intended to aid the students in their further studies and technological proficiency.
Speaking on the occasion, chairman of UNACCO School N Irabanta, emphasised the importance of education in shaping the future of both the students and the nation.
“These laptops are not just a reward but a tool to further enhance your learning and help you achieve even greater heights,” Irabanta remarked.
He highlighted the role of modern education tools in the National Education Policy 2020, aligning the school’s vision with national standards.
Irabanta also announced ambitious plans for the future, including the establishment of a university by the UNACCO Group.
This initiative aims to provide state-of-the-art education to students in Manipur, ensuring they are well-prepared for the challenges of the global economy, he added.
The students expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards their parents and teachers, acknowledging the support and guidance that contributed to their success. They also extended their appreciation to UNACCO School for recognizing their hard work and dedication.
Ayush Mishra, one of the awardees, shared his thoughts on the occasion, saying, “This recognition motivates me to work even harder and make the best use of the resources provided to us. I am grateful to my teachers and parents for their constant support.”
