In a celebration of academic achievement amid challenging times, UNACCO School marked a momentous occasion as students achieved a 100 percent pass rate in the HSEs 2024 conducted by the COHSEM and AISSCE, and the CBSE Examination 2024.
The jubilant atmosphere permeated through the campuses of UNACCO School, Meitram in Imphal West, and UNACCO College in Khongman, Imphal East as the outstanding students were honoured for their exceptional performance.
Addressing the gathering, chairman of UNACCO School N Irabanta highlighted a profound truth stating that academic marks are but a mere numerical reflection without the pillars of discipline and robust health.
He emphasised the pivotal role of discipline and well-being alongside academic success in shaping individuals into successful beings.
Irabanta shed light on the formidable challenges encountered by educational institutions in the region due to the persistent turmoil, including frequent curfews and internet bans.
Despite these adversities, he commended the unwavering dedication of the school faculties, who went above and beyond to ensure the continuity of education.
With online classes rendered impossible due to internet restrictions, teachers delivered study materials directly to students’ homes, demonstrating their commitment to academic excellence, he added.
The chairman attributed the exceptional performance of students in the 10th and 12th examinations to a combination of factors, including the rigorous academic regimen enforced by teachers, the administration of pre-board examinations thrice, and the provision of additional classes supplemented by valuable feedback from students.
Expressing gratitude to the resilient students and their supportive parents, Irabanta recognised their collective efforts in achieving academic excellence despite the adversities posed by the state’s turmoil.
He also extended appreciation to both teaching and non-teaching staff for their tireless dedication in imparting knowledge and nurturing students’ academic growth.
Encouraging students and parents to seek revaluation if any doubts arose regarding their marks, Irabanta highlighted past instances where students from UNACCO School had benefited from additional marks post-revaluation.
The programme also witnessed the presence of editor of Sanaleibak Daily N Hemantakumar and DGM of UNACCO School N Shyamchand and principles of UNACCO Schools and College among others.
In the COHSEM’s HSE 2024, the UNACCO School students secured the 9th position in the Arts stream and the 19th position in the Science stream, further solidifying the institution’s reputation for academic excellence.
