The Rongmei Naga Students’ Organisation Manipur (RNSOM) on Saturday organised an interaction session with the principals and headmasters of Schools, Higher Secondary Schools and College in Tamenglong District at Shekinuh Inn with an aim to focus more on the welfare of the students’ community and Educational Institutions.
In his opening remarks, RNSOM president Daichui Gangmei stated that student organisations of the past are misunderstood to have been conscious only of bandhs, agitations, visiting examination centres only during the board exams where they are also considered as anti-social to the local institutional administrative system.
He said that the activities of RNSOM will always be more on welfare of the students’ community, building a close cordial relationship with the educators and institutions respectively while understanding the need to respond to the call to agitate and protest on certain serious issues.
Daichui Gangmei lauded the educational institutions of Tamenglong for shaping thousands of successful lives, making a strong Tamenglong and state and contributing for a vibrant nation. He expressed hope to see Tamenglong as a centre of excellence not only for schools, but for Higher education also.
“Institutions should also create a space for more improvement in the education system so that the potential human resources available are exploited for building the society and community,” Daichui added.
President Rongmei Naga Council Manipur (RNCM) Ramkung Pamei stressed on the large responsibility every educational institution has in Nation building, change and development.
He lauded their contributions and expressed his huge interest in witnessing all local institutions to come up to a status where everyone needs to stand equal to institutions of the metros.
