P Akubou is Zeliangrong Students' Union Delhi new president

The Zeliangrong Students' Union Delhi (ZSUD) held its Annual General Body Meeting cum Election at Nagaland House, New Delhi on Saturday, May 18.

P Akubou has been elected as the new president of the Zeliangrong Students' Union Delhi (ZSUD) for the tenure 2024-2025. Akubou succeeds Liangkiudinbo Marenmai as the president of the students' union.

According to a statement issued by the ZSUD, the Annual General Body Meeting cum Election of the union was held at Nagaland House, New Delhi on Saturday, May 18. 

"In exercise of the power conferred by Article Seventeen of the Constitution of Zeliangrong Students' Union Delhi, and pursuant to the Annual General Body Meeting cum Election, members to the executive council of the ZSUD for the tenure 2024-2025 were duly elected," the ZSUD stated.

P Akubou has been elected as the president, Ningthuigong Kamei and Kairidinbo Marenmai as vice presidents, Sirailiu Nring as general secretary, Samzaiyile Newme as finance secretary, Liangkangmei Kahongambou as games and sports secretary, Kachalak Kamei as joint secretary, Gaijangsinliu Thaimei as women coordinator, and Rakhanglunliu Lisa Pamei assistant public relation secretary, it mentioned.

It may be mentioned that the ZSUD had earlier notified that the ZSUD executive team had unanimously motioned to forge the 30-day notice for elections due to unavoidable circumstances. It had appointed three persons to the EC with advocate  Chamwibo Nring as the chief election commissioner while advocates Prang Newmai and Kaoliangpou Kamei were appointed as members.
