The Manipuri Students Federation (MSF) on Friday inaugurated an MSF Unit Council at Praja Higher Secondary School, Lamshang in Imphal West district in the presence of office bearers of MSF Imphal West District Committee.
A release by MSF stated that the Praja Higher Secondary School MSF Unit Council for 2022-23 was inaugurated in the presence of MSF Imphal West District Committee president Rishikesh Maibam, general secretary Mighty Meitei and assistant finance secretary Umakanta along with other office bearers of the organisation.
“MSF had been setting up the unit councils in order to influence the development of the student communities better and to aid in the upcoming Higher Secondary election,” it mentioned.
During the event, the office bearers of the unit council were also selected including Thangjam Anand as the president, Chongtham Chingkheinganba and Ningthoujam Monika Devi as the vice presidents along with Lourembam Anupama Devi as the general secretary, it mentioned.
Under the ‘Eikhoi Leirik Ningthina Tamsi’ Academic Campaign MSF had been conducting inspection drives at various schools in the state to ensure that the students are getting the proper education from their respective teachers, it added.
