The Manipur government on Monday extended the closure of all state government/state government aided/private unaided schools till Thursday.

The order was issued by the Directorate of Education (Schools), Government of Manipur. It stated that the same was issued with the approval of the government, Department of Education (S) conveyed in consultation with the Home department.

Mention may be made that the state government, earlier on September 26 announced closure of all state government/state government aided/private unaided schools for two days on September 27 and September 29 in view of the prevailing situation in the state.
