Manipur: COHSEM Class-12 examination 2022 begins peacefully

The Higher Secondary Examination 2022 lasting over three hours in a day is spread over a month and will continue till May 5 in 39 centres located in hills districts and 79 centres in valley areas.

The Class 12 examination 2022 (Higher Secondary Examination) conducted physically by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) started on Thursday 10 am with over 28,000 students appearing in the examination held in 118 centres across the state.

The Higher Secondary Examination 2022 lasting over three hours in a day is spread over a month and will continue till May 5 in 39 centres located in hills districts and 79 centres in valley areas.

Over 28,400 students were enrolled for the HSE this year against previous year's number of 31,136, said COHSEM. It said 8,203 students are from arts stream, 19,629 from science and 568 from commerce.

The total number of female exam candidates is 13,970, while that of male candidates is 14,430. In the regular category, the number of students to appear is 27,983; private 214 and casual cum subject improvement is 201. The number of students who are differently abled is 18.

COHSEM said that all exam centres have been directed to implement precautionary measures and maintain COVID appropriate behavior during the exam time.

Meanwhile, the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination 2022 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BOSEM) began on April 5 across 192 centres in the state, with 39,764 students appearing in the exam. It will continue till April 26.
