Manipur Education Minister Thokchom Radheshyam on Thursday announced that the examination results for class-12 conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Examination Manipur (COHSEM) in 2020 will be declared on Friday.
The minister made the announcement at the launch of a dedicated educational TV channel called “ Lairik” under the platform of Jio TV which will be visible/accessible across the country.
Speaking at the launch of the channel, Radheshyam said that the educational TV Channel, which is the first educational channel for Manipur, will benefit both the teachers and students of the state.
The minister also said that hosting the channel of Jio TV will provide the students an opportunity to watch the content easily on a smartphone and even a Jio phone instead of depending on a television unit.
Radheshyam informed that the channel provides a seven-day catch up feature that allows students to repeatedly watch content any number of times for the next seven days. Since the channel schedule is managed by the department of Education, Manipur, Live programmes (classrooms) can be integrated within the same channel.
The same channel can host several programmes in local languages as well as English. Jio TV is offering for additional channels to launch class-wise contents and only Jio TV app is embedded within Jio Sim, he said.
Radheshyam also appreciated the teachers, officers and firms involved in the quality e- content preparation. He also acknowledged the support provided by Jio TV to the students of Manipur, the education department and the state as a whole. He said it is a joyous moment for the department that a dedicated TV Channel called “LAIRIK” is launched.
Jio TV is providing free of cost running of the channel for Manipur government as well as for the subscribers across the country, the minister said.
