Manipur board compartmental exam results declared, 99.51 pass percentage

A total of 482 students passed in first division, 2,570 students passed in second division and 188 students passed in third division in the High School Leaving Certificate (Compartmental/special) examination, 2023 conducted byBOSEM.

The results of High School Leaving Certificate (Compartmental/special) examination, 2023 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) were declared on Tuesday with an overall pass percentage of 99.51 percent.

In the High School Leaving Certificate (compartmental) examination, 2023 a total of 3,346 students were enrolled, including 1,555 male regular candidates; 1,766 female regular candidates; 12 male external candidates and 13 female external candidates.

Of the total enrolment of 3,346 candidates, a total of 3,256 candidates appeared in the examination. The pass percentage of Male regular candidates is 99.34 percent; female candidate is 99.65 percent; cent percent for both male and female external candidates.

In the said compartmental examination 482 students passed in first division, 2,570 students passed in second division and 188 students passed in third division.

However, two students were debarred from sitting the said examination for impersonation and their results for the same examination stand cancelled.

Besides, for HSLC (Special) examination, 2023 a total of 25 students including 13 male, 11 female and 1 female external candidate were enrolled. Among the total enrolment in the examination, 22 students appeared in the examination and all the candidates passed the examination in first and second division.

The result was declared at the premises of Board of Secondary Education Manipur, Babupara, Imphal by Chairman of BOSEM, Akham Joykumar Singh along with controller of examination (incharge), L Suchitra Devi; secretary, BOSEM, S Mangijao Singh and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Joykumar said unlike previous compartmental examinations, the examination was conducted for 6 days for 6 different subjects. He said while appearing for the HSLC examination, 2023, some students were not able to appear the examination due to some errors from some schools in submitting their respective examination form to BOSEM.

After considering those students and to protect their rights, BOSEM conducted HSLC (special) examination, 2023, he added.

The compartmental examination was scheduled from September 4 to September 15 however due to the prevailing situation in Manipur the examination was concluded on September 25.

Starting from the next day of the completion of the examination, evaluation of papers were started so that the result could be declared in a minimal time for the welfare of the students, said chairman, BOSEM.
