The Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM) has notified with regards to the "Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students”, Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education, NS I Section, Government of India for the academic session 2023-24.
As per a notification by Ch Biren Singh, secretary, COHSEM, the eligible lists of candidates/scholars [Freshers-2023, 1) Renewal-2022, 2) Renewal-2021, 3) Renewal-2020, 4) Renewal-2019] for the said scheme have been uploaded on the website of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur: www.cohsem.nic.in.
Those candidates/scholars in the uploaded list may apply online on or before the December 31, 2023 at the National Scholarship Portal: www.scholarships.gov.in for availing the said scholarship, the COHSEM secretary stated.
As for freshers, the notification stated that the candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Examination, 2023 conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur in the Top 20th percentile; that the candidate should pursue Under Graduate course in a recognized educational institution; that the candidate should not avail any other scholarship schemes and the candidates should have his/her Aadhaar Number.
As for renewal, the notification stated that the scholar should secure 50 per cent or more marks or equivalent grade point average in aggregate and maintenance of attendance of at least 75 per cent.
