In a bid accelerate the national initiative of proficiency in reading with understanding and numeracy (Buniyadi Shiksha Abhiyan) in schools’ children from class I-V and to improve childcare and development of 0-6 years in Anganwadi Centre (Khush-haal Bachpan Abhiyan), Piramal Foundation in collaboration with NITI Ayog and District Administration Chandel launched its flagship campaign at Chandel DC complex on Friday.
The programme was started by unfurling the flex designed for the campaign by Deputy Commissioner, Chandel, Mayanglambam Rajkumar in the presence of ADC/ADM, Chandel, Md Firoj Khan and respective teachers of the selected demo schools, supervisors of ICDS cell and NGO collaborators.
It is said that the main theme of the campaign is to achieve the objective of universal Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) in schools by 2026-27 and to improve the childcare and development in Anganwadi Centre (AWC).
At the end of the programme different stakeholders gave feedback, suggestions and assurance for their full support in achieving our goals to serve the unserved.
Meanwhile another programme for Mapping of Disabled persons was also launched by DC, Chandel on the same location.
