Over 16 lakh vaccine doses administered to 12-14 age group children

As per the latest update by the Union Health Ministry, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage crossed 181.19 Crore as of Sunday

More than 16 lakh COVID vaccine doses have been administered to 12-14 age group children as of Sunday, according to official sources.

As per the latest update by the Union Health Ministry, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage crossed 181.19 Crore (1,81,19,31,011) as of Sunday, as more than 13 lakh (13,63,853) vaccine doses have been administered till 7 pm on Saturday.

A total of 16,76,515 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to 12-14 years age group so far, while 56,200,553 first doses have been administered to 15-18 years age group and 35,465,888 of them have recieved the second dose. 

More than 2.17 crore (2,17,30,449) precaution doses for the identified categories of beneficiaries (HCWs, FLWs and Over 60 years) for COVID vaccination have been administered so far.

The vaccination exercise as a tool to protect the most vulnerable population groups in the country from COVID-19 continues to be regularly reviewed and monitored at the highest level, the ministry stated.
