Manipur on Sunday reported one COVID-19 death and yet another seven COVID-19 positive cases of the 423 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

According to a release issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Room on Sunday, two male and fives females were tested positive for the disease. The cases confirmed as new COVID 19 positive cases from RIMS was one and six from other testing centres.

The positive cases from the general population are two from Imphal East, one each from Imphal West and Thoubal, and three from Churachandpur. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.

In the last 24 hours, the State Level Covid 19 Deaths Audit Committee reported one dead case of Covid 19. She was from Imphal West. The cumulative number of deaths is 2,148. She had comorbidities and had two doses of Covid vaccine.

Only one person was discharged after completion of surveillance.

The cumulative number of positive cases climbed to 1,39,738 and the recovered cases was 1,37,529. The number of active cases was 61 and recovery rate is 98.42 per cent.

As on September 3, a total of 136 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 12 B-type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of Manipur.

The number of Covid 19 vaccine doses administered on September 3 is 1465. The cumulative doses administered so far is 3191298 (out of it, first  dose is 1633947, second dose is 1308366 and precautionary dose is 248985).
