One more die of COVID-19, 10 new positive cases in Manipur

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 27,29,025 (first dose: 15,16,617 second dose: 11,51,266 precautionary dose: 61,142).

Manipur on Sunday recorded 10 new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,36,898 while the death toll reached 2,115 with one new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate currently is 1.1 per cent.

The single COVID-19 fatality recorded on Sunday is from Imphal West. The deceased had co-morbidities and was not vaccinated, according to a release issued by State COVID-19 Common Control Room.

As per the release, three new COVID-19 cases were reported from Imphal West, another four cases from Imphal East and one each from Bishnupur, Kangpokpi and Thoubal.

The state also recorded 29 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,34,535. The recovery rate is 98.27 per cent. Manipur now has 248 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 228 D-type Oxygen Cylinders and 82 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.16 per cent and for the second dose is 49.18 per cent, it mentioned.
