Mizoram logs 2,064 new COVID-19 cases

COVID-19 active caseload in Mizoram rose to 13,721 on Friday.

Mizoram's COVID-19 tally on Friday surged to1,67,725 with the addition of 2,064 new cases, according to the update posted by the state Department of Information And Public Relations (DIPR).

The day's positivity rate was 27.23 per cent.

While no COVID-19 related deaths were reported in the state on Thursday, the active caseload rose to 13,721.

Of the total 1,67,725 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mizoram, 1,53,413 cases have been discharged while 591 patients have so far died due to COVID-19, as per the DIPR data.

Aizawl with 8,534 cases has the highest number of COVID-19 active cases, followed by Mamit with 1,076 cases and Saitual with 1,002. The other active cases include 963 in Lunglei, 47 in Siaha, 260 in Champhai, 760 in Kolasib, 476 in Serchhip, 119 in Lawngtlai, 330 in Khawzawl and 154 in Hnahthial.
