A mass Covid vaccination drive as part of the Seva Pakhwada fortnight observation was conducted at the campus of Singngat Sub District Hospital in Churachandpur district on Tuesday.
In the mass vaccination drive, as many as 181 students from four different schools were vaccinated. The mass vaccination drive was attended by former Singngat MLA Ginsuanhau Zou as chief guest, BJP Singngat Mandal president Kamlianthang, former MDC Pumtulthang Lianzo along with other members.
On the occasion, Zou extended acknowledgement to the BJP government for the various developments being undertaken in Singngat assembly constituency, including the upgradation of the Singngat Community Health Centre into a Sub District Hospital and the upgradation of Singngat High School into Singngat Higher Secondary School.
He mentioned that though he no longer is the MLA of Singngat, he will not stop working for the wellbeing of the assembly constituency. He also extended well wishes to the present MLA to work for the development of Singngat.
Zou also commended the former CMO of Churachandpur Vumchinpau Tonsing and principal secretary, government of Manipur Vumlunmang Vualnam for the development of the health sector of the constituency.
Singngat SDH medical officer Romesh cautioned the students and the people attending the programme to strictly follow the COVID appropriate norms.
