Manipur's single-day COVID-19 deaths dropped to one ffrom Imphal West on Thursday from Wednesday's number of two deaths, official sources said.
The state recieved 1,858 test results on Thursday. Of it, 172 tested positive for COVID-19, pushing the state's COVID-19 confirmed caseload to 1,35,530. Consequently, the daily positivity rate stood at 9.3 per cent, according to the latest update by the state Health department.
Of the Thursday's positive cases, 48 are from Imphal West, 44 from Imphal East, 20 from Churachandpur, 14 from Kakching, nine each from Bishnupur and Tamenglong, eight from Thoubal, seven from Ukhrul, three each from Tengnoupal, Senapati and Noney, two from Kamjong and one from Chandel.
The number of COVID-19 active cases rose to 2,397, including 110 personnel of the Central Armed Police Forces. Two CAPF personnel were tested positive for the infection on Thursday.
The state also recorded 222 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,31,058. The recovery rate improved to 96.70 per cent.
Meanwhile, a total of 257 D-type Oxygen Cylinders and 94 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 26,05,772 (first dose: 14,73,908 | second dose: 10,86,427 | precautionary dose: 45,437).
The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 59.92 per cent and for the second dose is 46.41 per cent, stated the COVID-19 Common Control Room release.
